When you return an item purchased initially with a gift card, the refund will always be issued as a gift card, not cash or credit to another payment method. Here's how it works:
For store purchases returned in-store: You'll receive a new physical gift card at the time of return
For online purchases returned in-store: You'll receive a new digital gift card sent to your email
For any purchases returned online: You'll receive a new digital gift card sent to your email
In all cases, your new gift card will be loaded with the exact value of the returned items.
